On the eastern side of Skuleberget, just a few kilometres away, you’ll find Northern Europe’s largest via ferrata facility.

Take a walk to Naturum, where you’ll find a permanent exhibition about the High Coast World Heritage Site.

BOAT
TO ULVÖN >>

Give your legs a rest and take High Coast boats out to Ulvön. The boats depart just 2 kilometres from FriluftsByn – an easy morning walk or a 5-minute drive.

ROADTRIP THROUGH
NORDINGRÅ >>

If you have a car, don’t miss the chance to explore Nordingrå. Bönhamn, Rotsidan and Norrfällsviken are all well worth a visit.

OUTLET

Just a few kilometres south of Örnsköldsvik, you’ll find the Fjällräven Outlet. It’s hard to beat the bargains here, and it’s also one of Sweden’s largest outdoor stores.

Paradiset Spa, Bath & Wellness is one of northern Sweden’s largest swimming and spa centres. Kids will love the pools and water attractions, while adults can slip away to the relaxation area and give tired bodies a well-earned treat.

RELAX IN FRILUFTSBYN >>

Go for a swim, relax with a book, hang out in the courtyard or at Friluftsfiket. Take a canoe or kayak out on the water. Easy-going days with nowhere you need to be.

Many of the events, including High Coast Hike and High Coast Winter Hike, are among the most popular of their kind in Sweden and Europe. Whatever the season, the High Coast offers spectacular outdoor experiences, a great sense of community and memories to last a lifetime.

February. Sweden’s most popular winter trail race. Choose from five distances – Twin Peaks 13k, 3Peaks 17k, Classic 25k, Extreme 35k and Insane 50k.

May. Training, great company and plenty of fun. We split into three groups with different paces, get expert running coaching and experience the highlights of the World Heritage Site along the way.

Jun – Aug. The High Coast’s best hangout. Wednesdays and Saturdays in the FriluftsByn courtyard. Great atmosphere, fantastic food and live music.
